Expert Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS) is a service-oriented company designed to remedy many of the frustrations experienced by both lawyers and experts in working together.
Born out of years of real litigation experience, ECS serves to bridge the communication gap that frustrates attorneys and experts alike.
Frustrated by the difficulty and amount of time involved finding dependable, objective expert witnesses for her civil cases, Colorado attorney Ingrid Vinci recognized that there was a real need for a service that could help attorneys find the right experts quickly and reliably.
Equally troubling was the lack of any real guidance for professionals who were qualified to be experts, but were unfamiliar with the procedural requirements and administrative responsibilities that accompany expert work.
Enlisting the help of friend and fellow attorney, Rob Busch, Ingrid developed a business model where they could apply their experience and legal knowledge to helping both attorneys and experts. Recognizing the value of a service that could connect local attorneys with local experts, Ingrid and Rob formed Expert Consulting Services to serve the Colorado legal and expert communities.

A graduate of St. Lawrence University and Southern Methodist University School of Law, Ms. Vinci spent the first ten years of her legal career in the litigation arena. Her extensive experience includes toxic tort, medical malpractice, product liability, premises liability, and other personal injury litigation. During her tenure as a litigator, Ms. Vinci has accumulated substantial experience working with experts in all fields. As such, she fully appreciates the importance of a solid, collaborative relationship with the expert witness. Her philosophy of case development is to establish firm relationships with her expert witnesses by encouraging open and regular communication and utilize the expert witness in formulating case strategy. Frustrated by the often difficult and inefficient process of finding quality expert witnesses, Ms. Vinci recognized the need for a streamlined system to facilitate the effective use of high caliber expert witnesses. She enlisted her colleague, Rob Busch, who shared a similar philosophy in working with expert witnesses. |
Mr. Busch is a second generation Colorado attorney who has built a diverse practice experience. Licensed in Colorado and Wyoming, he has handled both plaintiff and defense work throughout both states. From the plaintiff’s perspective, Mr. Busch has worked on commercial litigation, general personal injury, medical and dental malpractice, and premises liability. As a defense attorney, Mr. Busch has considerable experience defending product liability, premises liability, and personal injury litigation. He has also worked in the domestic relations arena. Mr. Busch’s broad experience has helped him understand the need for a specialized marketplace for unbiased, credible expert witnesses. Actively involved in the 1st Judicial District Bar Association, Mr. Busch is a past President and member of its Board of Trustees and is currently a delegate to the Colorado Association Board of Governors. He has also served as both a member and chairperson of the Young Lawyers’ Division. In 2004, he was awarded the prestigious George Holley Young Lawyer of the Year Award for the 1st Judicial District. |
